done

finally. finally done with 5 weeks of practicum. if that was 5 weeks, i have no idea how i am going to last another 10 weeks next year. not at all looking forward to it.
as much as i will miss the students, i am just thankful that it's finally over. i had no time for anything. all i did when i got home, or rather, all i could do was sit down on the couch and stone. and on some days, drag my lazy and tired ass out to go out with babe. it was the one thing that kept me going and looking forward to the end of a tiring day in school. (:
i wanna thank God for carrying me through what seemed like forever and helping me to face my fears.
on my second last day, i was made to speak to the graduating classes during assembly to motivate them. while it may be no big deal to some, this 3min felt like 30 years on stage given that i have stage fright (no one believes me just coz im a teacher! haha). what made it worse was that i was told 3 min before assembly began, to cut my 10min speech to 2.5min!!! it was so frightening standing there with the vp, hods, and about 300 pairs of eyes looking at me, but God had been so good and was with me throughout yet another obstacle placed in my path.
had a truly enriching and eye-opening practicum and i am so thankful for all the support the other staff gave me giving me their printing passwords and letting me use their printing quota. and of coz for babe's never ending encouragement and help (to laminate stuff, do lesson plans and mark etc) whenever i complain and was so tired i didnt want to do anymore work. except that my squishy ball never came haha but who cares! it's overrrr yippeee(:

my 23rd birthday came and went quickly because my formal observation by my supervisor was the next day. so i ended up fretting over my lesson plan the day before my obs. thank God for baby who made it so special for me by taking my family out for a treat and bought a card for my family to write for my mum's birthday.

1st time buying macarons from laduree!

and we got to go shopping for my pressie the day before. im extremely grateful for that simple and chill evening spent with him.

29-30jul
happy 11th months, loveeee!
spent a short afternoon chilling, suntanning, and eating slanted cupcakes (bitch fit beware. hate slanted cupcakes!! rawr!!!) by the pool (while marking stacks of test papers) before tuition. and im more than contented with that considering the fact that we both had time to spend together during a normal school day, is so awesome.

went on a short 35km recce ride together from 9pm-1145pm. it was soooo fun heee. explored new places and cycled into gardens by the bay, it was so dark we were scared we would hit smth in front of our paths haha. forgot to bring money so we couldnt stop to eat which was a blessing in disguise, if not we would have slept super late and would have only gotten 4h of sleep.

family dinner #1

first time having a proper dinner with his entire family. itacho sushi to celebrate his sis, mum and dad birthday and his crossover. the food was yummmmms. enjoyed myself that day (:

today, we got our keys to our new temporary home teehee :D
am excited for what's to come in the next sem even though some people will try to make things difficult for us. im sure that with each other for support, we can hang in there for the coming 13 weeks. hugs.
